About Me
Sylvia S. Bagley, Ph.D.
I am an education professor and former gifted kid co-raising three twice-exceptional children.
I identify as a gifted adult, and am passionate about building community, compassion, and understanding in this area.
I am a member of the Board of Directors for SENG (Supporting the Emotional Needs of the Gifted), a certified SMPG Facilitator, and a certified Life Coach.
As an equity-focused educator, I acknowledge that giftedness has been and remains a contested space. It is not easy to talk about -- in part due to historic and ongoing injustices perpetrated upon gifted individuals from historically marginalized groups.
I believe it is our collective responsibility to ensure that giftedness becomes more culturally responsive and equitable across all educational spaces.
I look forward to meeting and working with you!
